Stepping onto the Global Stage: Agung Podomoro Brings Young Indonesian Talent to the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 in Chiba, Japan

Agung Podomoro continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating opportunities for young Indonesian talent to develop and compete on the international stage. Through its support for Bandung Legend, Agung Podomoro brought the Indonesian youth football team to compete in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 in Chiba, Japan, held from August 21–24, 2026.

Bandung Legend’s participation in the international tournament marked the continuation of the Agung Podomoro Land Cup U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 Southeast Asia Qualifier, which was held in Jakarta in June 2026. As one of the finalists of the tournament, Bandung Legend earned the opportunity to continue its journey to the main tournament in Japan, where the team competed under the name APL Indonesia.

In Japan, APL Indonesia competed in Group A alongside Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo U-12 EAST, Ageo Asahi FC, and Nara Club Junior. The tournament brought together around 40 teams from various countries, including youth academies and teams from renowned clubs such as FC Barcelona Academy Japan Selection, Gamba Osaka Junior, Kashima Antlers Junior, Urawa Red Diamonds Junior, and Cerezo Osaka U-12.

For the young players of Bandung Legend, the tournament provided an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of international competition firsthand while testing their abilities against teams with different levels of experience and football development systems. The experience is expected to serve as valuable exposure in strengthening their competitive mindset, confidence, and motivation to continue improving.

President Director of Agung Podomoro, Bacelius Ruru, said that the company’s support for Bandung Legend is part of its commitment to providing broader opportunities and access for Indonesia’s younger generation to develop their potential.

Through APL Indonesia’s participation in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026, Agung Podomoro hopes to create more opportunities for young Indonesian talent to learn, compete, and proudly represent Indonesia on the international stage.
