PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk, through the Agung Podomoro Land Foundation (YAPL), once again held its annual Disability Awareness 9 – 2025 event at Central Park Mall. Carrying the theme “Strengthening Disability Leadership for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future,” the event featured a recycled-material fashion show and various art performances as a platform for self-expression for people with disabilities.

The event reflects YAPL’s continued commitment to empowering persons with disabilities while raising public awareness about the importance of building an inclusive and sustainable society. The program was attended by YAPL’s management team as well as representatives from various disability foundations and communities.

Among those present at the event were Serian Wijatno (Vice Chairman of YAPL), Hidayat Bakri (Head of Education Program at YAPL), Christie Damayanti (Head of Social Program at YAPL), and F. Justini Omas (Corporate Secretary of PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk).

Unlike previous years, Disability Awareness 2025 introduced a Fashion Show featuring outfits made from recycled materials, participated in by various disability communities and foundations. This initiative highlighted the synergy between creativity, sustainability, and empowerment.

“This activity is specifically designed to develop the potential of children with disabilities. At the same time, we encourage the use of recycled materials to promote environmental awareness,” said Serian Wijatno.

In line with the spirit of International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025, the event emphasized that people with disabilities deserve safe, inclusive, and discrimination-free public spaces.

“Through these performances, we want to provide an open platform for our friends with disabilities to showcase and celebrate their best works,” Christie Damayanti stated.

The event was attended by 389 children with disabilities from various foundations across Jakarta, including:

In addition to the fashion show, the event featured music and dance performances, pencak silat, and a puppet show. Creative booths were also set up, allowing participants to showcase and sell their handmade products.

Since its first launch in 2017, YAPL has consistently organized Disability Awareness programs along with various other social initiatives, including donation programs for underprivileged children. Through these activities, YAPL aims to foster empathy while encouraging broader public participation in supporting the disability community.
