Bandung, June 20, 2025 – Podomoro Park Bandung has officially launched its Waste Management Center, marking a significant step toward achieving a zero-waste environment. This facility reflects Agung Podomoro’s commitment to sustainable waste management, where all residential and commercial waste generated within the Podomoro Park area will be processed internally.

In the future, the Waste Management Center is also expected to handle waste from all Agung Podomoro business units throughout the Bandung area. This means waste will no longer end up in landfills (TPA), but instead will be treated and repurposed on-site, as part of a broader contribution to environmental sustainability.

With a processing capacity of up to 20 tons of waste per day, the Waste Management Center operates 8 hours daily. To support eco-friendly principles, the facility is partially powered by solar panels, which help reduce carbon emissions and promote long-term energy efficiency.

The facility is designed to convert waste into economically valuable products while minimizing environmental impact. The process begins with a double sorting system, where organic and inorganic waste is separated using automated machines. Operators then continue the sorting process to ensure waste is properly allocated and processed by type.

Organic waste is processed into compost fertilizer and maggot cultivation media, while inorganic residue is turned into eco-friendly ash, which can be used as a base material for paving blocks. Additionally, high-value recyclable materials are sent to recycling plants to be reused sustainably by the recycling industry.

“As one of Indonesia’s leading property developers, Agung Podomoro Land is not only focused on building high-quality residential and commercial areas, but also on taking long-term responsibility for the environment. The launch of this Waste Management Center is a concrete step in realizing cleaner, more self-reliant waste management,” said H. Noer Indradjaja, S.H., Vice President Director of Agung Podomoro Land.

The Waste Management Center is a result of a strategic collaboration between Podomoro Park Bandung and PT Fajar Inovasi Terpadu. The facility was inaugurated by Dr. H. M. Dadang Supriatna, S.Ip., M.Si., Regent of Bandung, alongside H. Noer Indradjaja, S.H., Vice President Director of Agung Podomoro Land, and Amir Jatmiko, S.E., President Commissioner of PT Fajar Inovasi Terpadu.

The inauguration also coincided with the signing of an official handover of regional government assets, following a collaboration to develop bridge infrastructure on Cikoneng–Rancaoray Road, located in Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency.
