Agung Podomoro continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing young Indonesian talent with opportunities to compete on the international stage. Through its support for Bandung Legend, Agung Podomoro helped the Indonesian youth football team reach the Round of 16 at the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 in Chiba, Japan, held from August 21–24, 2026. The participation marked the continuation of the Agung Podomoro Land Cup U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026 Southeast Asia Qualifier, which was held in Jakarta in June 2026. As a finalist in the qualifier, Bandung Legend earned the opportunity to continue its journey to the main tournament in Japan, where the team competed under the name APL Indonesia.

In Japan, APL Indonesia was placed in Group A alongside Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo U-12 EAST, Ageo Asahi FC, and Nara Club Junior. Representing Indonesia, the young squad delivered a strong performance by securing three wins in the group stage, including a 3–1 victory over Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo U-12 EAST and a 2–1 win against Ageo Asahi FC, before advancing to the Round of 16. In the knockout stage, APL Indonesia faced Mazda GB FC, whom they had previously met in the final of the Agung Podomoro Land Cup 2026. This time, their journey came to an end following a 0–3 defeat. Nevertheless, the experience proved valuable, as the tournament brought together around 40 teams from various countries, including youth academies and teams affiliated with renowned clubs such as FC Barcelona Academy Japan Selection, Gamba Osaka Junior, Kashima Antlers Junior, Urawa Red Diamonds Junior, and Cerezo Osaka U-12.

APL President Director Bacelius Ruru said that Bandung Legend’s participation was about more than the results on the field. It provided the young players with a valuable opportunity to experience the atmosphere of international competition firsthand. He expressed hope that the experience would help build their confidence, competitive mindset, and determination to continue developing and pursuing their dreams at a higher level.
