PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk (APLN) has partnered with the Fukuoka Consortium to speed up the development of its independent satellite city, Kota Podomoro Tenjo, in Bogor Regency, West Java. The Japan-based consortium consists of Bika Co., Kyushu Leasing Service Co. Ltd., and Shinoken Group Co., Ltd.

This strategic collaboration underscores Agung Podomoro’s commitment to advancing the project, leveraging the consortium’s proven expertise to enhance the value of Kota Podomoro Tenjo.

APL President Director Bacelius Ruru said the partnership goes beyond financial investment, encompassing knowledge transfer, technology, and management experience. “Support from our Japanese partners is expected to bring more innovative, efficient, and sustainable development that benefits both the community and the national economy,” he stated in an official release on Thursday (Sept 4, 2025).

Bacelius added that Agung Podomoro has successfully collaborated with Japanese partners on several projects in the past, producing strong business growth. “Over the last five years, Kota Podomoro Tenjo has recorded one of the highest sales growth rates among our property developments,” he noted.

As part of this partnership, Kota Podomoro Tenjo will launch two new residential clusters, Edelweiss and Mahogany, offering more high-quality yet affordable housing options for the public.

The cooperation will involve joint investment and project management, Bacelius explained. “This partnership will further strengthen Kota Podomoro Tenjo’s brand as a modern, affordable, and high-value independent city. Agung Podomoro remains committed to driving its growth as a key economic asset in the region,” he said.

Launched in 2020 through its subsidiary PT Kota Podomoro Tenjo Sejahtera (KPTS)—99.96% owned by APL—the project continues to prioritize basic infrastructure development. Key initiatives include the revitalization of Tenjo Station, construction of the Tenjo Flyover, and the addition of public facilities such as places of worship and road upgrades to support the area’s long-term growth.
