KARAWANG, West Java – PT Agung Podomoro Land (APLN), in collaboration with the Karawang Regency Government, has once again demonstrated a positive synergy in public infrastructure development. President Director of Agung Podomoro, Bacelius Ruru, and Karawang Regent, Aep Syaepuloh, officially inaugurated the Parkland Podomoro Bridge on Friday, October 10, an essential infrastructure project expected to alleviate severe traffic congestion in the West Karawang Toll Road Interchange area.
The bridge, which is a full initiative of the Parkland Podomoro Karawang developer, holds a strategic role as a direct shortcut connecting the West Karawang Toll Road Interchange to the city center, including the Government complex and Karawang City Square (Alun-Alun). Previously, road users had to take a longer, roundabout route, but the new bridge is set to significantly cut travel time and distance.
Despite earlier speculations that the bridge would be an exclusive access for the residential area's inhabitants, Agung Podomoro President Director, Bacelius Ruru, firmly reiterated the company's commitment to the public interest. Agung Podomoro ensures that the Parkland Podomoro Bridge is completely open to the general public, establishing it as tangible proof of the private sector's contribution to inclusive regional infrastructure development.
The bridge itself is an integral component of the 130-hectare Parkland Podomoro integrated city development, which embraces the integrated city concept. This project is designed to create a self-sufficient environment by combining residential, business, and a Central Business District (CBD) that is projected to become a new economic hub for Karawang. With the presence of this strategic bridge, Agung Podomoro hopes to spur local economic growth, attract investment, and facilitate greater accessibility and mobility for all segments of the Karawang community.
