Bogor Regency, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 – Agung Podomoro, one of Indonesia’s leading property holding companies, continues to strengthen its commitment to developing sustainable self-sustained cities. Through its subsidiary, PT Mitra Abadi Utama, Agung Podomoro has officially commenced the construction of the Modern Market at Kota Podomoro Tenjo as part of the city’s integrated urban facilities development.
The modern market is designed to support the residential ecosystem while driving local economic growth, in line with the strategic location and rapid development of Kota Podomoro Tenjo.
President Director of Kota Podomoro Tenjo, Noer Indradjaja, stated that the development of the modern market is a crucial step in ensuring sustainable city growth. According to him, urban facilities serve as the foundation for creating a vibrant and dynamic community.
“We are developing the Kota Podomoro Tenjo Modern Market to provide residents with easy access to daily necessities in a hygienic, modern, and well-organized environment. This facility also marks the consistent progress of Kota Podomoro Tenjo’s development,” said Noer Indradjaja on Tuesday (16/12/2025).
The modern market is being built on a 4,302-square-meter site with a total building area of 1,447 square meters and is targeted to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026. It will accommodate approximately 100 traders, consisting of 60 open stalls and 37 kiosks, primarily allocated to local MSMEs from the Tenjo and Tigaraksa areas.
“The presence of this modern market is expected to become a growth space for local MSMEs, offering a cleaner, more organized, and professional business environment,” he added.
Merchant and product curation will focus on residents’ daily needs, including staple foods, vegetables, meat, eggs, and other kitchen essentials. With improved facilities, traders are expected to enhance business quality while expanding their growth opportunities.
To date, nearly 5,000 residential units at Kota Podomoro Tenjo have been handed over to homeowners. The modern market is projected to encourage more residents to occupy their homes as facilities and area activities continue to grow.
“As city facilities become more complete, community activities will naturally increase. This will have a positive impact on area value and property investment for our consumers,” Noer explained.
The development of the Kota Podomoro Tenjo Modern Market complements existing facilities such as the Soebianto Flyover, Club House, Grand Mosque, schools, Podomoro Food Center, Alfamidi, Indomaret Point, Water Treatment Plant (PDAM), and the Grand Transit Oriented Development (TOD), which enhances the area’s connectivity to public transportation.
As one of Agung Podomoro’s flagship self-sustained city projects, Kota Podomoro Tenjo continues to be developed as an integrated residential area that prioritizes comfort, accessibility, and long-term sustainability, while creating added value for residents and the surrounding community.
